Presbyterian Heritage
Presbyterians are of the Reformed theological stance based on listening to God's word with a willingness to follow God's guidance.
The two main sources of inspiration and guidance for Presbyterians are the Word (Bible and preaching) and the Sacraments (baptism and communion). We agree with John Calvin, the 16th century Swiss Reformer, who stated that where the Word is rightly proclaimed and the Sacraments rightly administered, there is the church. To Presbyterians, baptism and communion symbolize the New Covenant (or promise) between God and God's people.
