Worship
Worship Sunday Morning Westminster offers Sunday morning services in the traditional, Presbyterian worship style. A chapel service, which includes communion, is held at 8:00 a.m. The 10:30 a.m. worship service is held in the sanctuary. Children are always welcome with their families at Westminster. The 10:30 a.m. service includes a "children's conversation" which speaks to all ages. After the children's conversation, children ages 3 through pre-K are excused to room 210 and K through 5th grade to Faith Village for Sunday School. This second hour of Sunday School for ages 3 to 5 includes singing, movement, stories, listening, and other activities. The Kindergarten through 5th grade program is focused on developing an understanding of why we worship and enabling the children to worship more meaningfully with the congregation. Sunday mornings from 7:45 - 11:40 a.m., a professionally staffed nursery provides nurturing care for children under 3. Parents assist as volunteers on a rotating basis. The nursery provides a safe, loving, fun and comfortable environment for both children and parents. Infants (birth -18 months) and Walkers (18-36 months) are cared for in rooms off of Room 210 (second floor, Education Wing). Taizé Prayer ServiceThe Taizé Prayer Service meets on the third Sunday of each month 7:00 p.m. in the Westminster chapel. The service combines chant-like songs with prayer and meditation in a style originating from Taizé, France. Cable Television Broadcast On Thursday afternoons at 12:30 p.m. and Saturday afternoons at 1:00 p.m., cable channel 13 broadcasts the previous Sunday's 10:30 a.m. worship service.
