Through the Holy Spirit, we know God is with us, helping us live as faithful disciples. During May in Faith Village child will explore the following concepts:
-- hear the story of the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost;
-- identify how the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples;
-- understand that we are empowered by the Holy Spirit;
-- define the Holy Spirit as "God with us now";
-- learn that the Holy Spirit can be present in our lives too;
-- explore the meaning of "believe";
-- understand why we celebrate Pentecost as the birthday of the church.

Faith Village always opens with songs, an offering and prayer. Visitors are welcome.

Summer Sunday School: The Lord's Prayer
June 6 - August 15, 2010
10:45 a.m. only (no 9:00 a.m. Sunday School during the summer)
Ages 4 years - 5th grade (Childcare available 7:45 - 11:45 each Sunday)
In our multi-age class this summer, children will explore the Lord's Prayer and see videos of stories from the New Testament. Children will not only memorize The Lord's Prayer, but will dig into the concepts behind it. Through our exploration children will discover that prayer is more than recitation or a wish list. It is part of a vital relationship with God.

No Sunday School May 30, June 27 or July 4.

Vacation Bible School 
June 21-25, 2010    
9:00-Noon
ages 3yrs-5th grade

At Galactic Blast Vacation Bible School 2010, your cadets will voyage into outer space praising God. Through daily missions, your kids will see space like never before, gain a new perspective on our planet Earth, and learn easy "green" earth tips they can practice at home. This cosmic combination of faith and fun will have your
cadets developing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

If 100 children come to VBS, Betsy will dye her hair green. So sign up now and invite all your friends.

(Volunteers needed: 6th-12th and beyond)
Volunteers are being recruited to shepherd cadets, lead workshops, provide snacks, decorate and more. Please call or email Betsy!  Many hands make light work!
