Preschool Philosophy
Westminster Presbyterian Church offers Westminster Preschool to children ages 3 to 5 years of age, prior to attending Kindergarten. The program provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can develop spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, intellectually, and culturally.

Goals and Objectives

To create a caring, loving, Christian community where each child can learn about God and His creation.
To provide an opportunity to learn social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills appropriate for the child's developmental level.
To help each child develop a positive self-image and to provide opportunities for successful interactions with other children.
To learn through self-directed activities involving large and small motor abilities.

Classes and Tuition Rates

Morning classes: 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
   Tuesday and Thursday (2-day program)
   Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (3-day program)
   Monday through Friday (5-day program)

Afternoon classes: 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.
   Tuesday and Thursday (2-day program)
   Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (3-day program)

Tuition Rates (Fall, 2008)
Tuesday/Thursday $85 per month
Mon-Wed-Friday $115 per month
Mon thru Friday ) $195 per month

A $35 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration.
Monthly tuition is due by the 1st of each month.

Program Activities

     Westminster Preschool is
       N.A.E.Y.C accredited.
     A developmental program which balances both child-initiated and teacher-directed activities will be provided.
     Activities will include: music, stories, art activities, finger plays, structured and unstructured playtime, field trips, guest speakers, chapel chat, sharing time, and a nutritional snack each day.

     Westminster Preschool is a state licensed preschool program. Nebraska state child care licensing requirements are met at all times. It is also accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) Accredited Program. (Click here for more . . . )
     The safety and the well-being of each child is a top priority. A Westminster Preschool staff member is always available who has been trained in CPR and First Aid.

Extended Care
Extended Care is available on days that your child attends preschool.
Hours:
7:30 to 9:00 a.m.
11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Fee: $4.00 per hour

NOTE: A sack lunch must be provided by parents each day. An afternoon snack is provided by Westminster Preschool.
(A $25 non-refundable registration fee is due prior to participation in extended care.)

Adventure Camp
     A fun-filled experience for preschool children will be offered during some of the days that Lincoln Public Schools and Westminster Preschool are closed.
     Both half-day (less than 5 hours) and full-day (5 hours or more) registrations will be accepted.

Full-day
$15 per day ($60/week)
$25 per day ($110/week)
