Please sign the note at the sign in/out book to let us know if your child
will be attending preschool on Monday, July 5th. I know many parents have that
day off and may be planning to use Monday, to recuperate (or drive back) from
the 4th of July festivities. Just let us know either way, as we have staff who
can work, but I don’t want to bring in more teachers than are necessary. On that
note, have a happy, fun, SAFE, 4th of July!!
Field Trip: On Thursday, July 22nd the preschool classes will be taking a
field trip to the Petco store at Edgewood Shopping Center (on South 56th & Highway 2). It will be during the
week when our theme is "Pets". They give a nice tour, showing different animals to the children and
then letting them look throughout the store at the aquariums and other animals. They even have a
special "gift" to give each child at the end. (Don’t worry it isn’t a live pet!!) We will need parents to
volunteer to provide transportation for the field trip. Everyone will need to bring their child’s car seat and we
will put them into the cars of the parents who are driving. No child will be allowed to ride in a car
without a car seat.
If your child only attends on Monday/Wednesday/Friday that week, they are
welcome to come on Thursday so they don’t miss the field trip. Just let the teachers know so we
can arrange our drivers and children accordingly.
