Weekday Preschool Newsletter December 2004Hard to believe that this will be the last newsletter of 2004!! We sure are happy to be so busy and blessed with the fun times we spend with your child each day they are at preschool. We pray that your holidays will be filled with God’s love and spirit and that you will take the time to enjoy the fellowship and fun that comes from being together with your children, family and friends during these holidays. Pie Certificates: Remember you can still check out pie certificates and sell them to your family and friends. We will be selling them through the 10th of December. We have sold about 125 already, but we have 350 available to sell!! Preschool gets to keep $2.75 of each $10 pie certificate we sell!! Holiday Party Update: We are still planning to have all five classes’ holiday parties on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005. But the times are a little different than originally listed in the August/September newsletter. Times will be: MWF classes at 2:00 pm, M-F class at 4:30 pm, T-Th classes at 6:00 pm. Please mark this date - we hope you can plan to attend. Grandparents and other family members are welcome to come too!! CPR & First Aid Class: On Saturday, January 22nd we will be offering a CPR & First Aid training class for the preschool staff and families. The cost is $35.00 for both CPR & First Aid, or $25.00 for just CPR. The CPR class will be from 8:30 am until 10:45 or 11:00 am and the First Aid class will be from 10:45 until 12:30 pm. Please contact Jo Beil at 475-6702 ext 103 if you are interested in signing up. The class is limited to 20 people, on a first come, first served basis. If we have additional people that are interested, we will set up another class in February sometime. Pulse Finders of Lincoln will be leading the class, and they do an excellent job. The CPR certification is good for 2 years and the First Aid certification is good for 3 years. Sweatshirts & T-shirts: We still have some Westminster Preschool T-shirts and sweatshirts available. They make excellent Christmas presents!! The T-shirts cost $8.00 and the sweatshirts cost $13.50. Available are:
Gifts: The children are working on a gift to give their families for Christmas. If they begin to tell you about it, don’t ask too many questions, or they may be sad after they tell you because they really wanted it to be a surprise!! (The teachers will have a gift for the children too, so if you are not going to be here until December 17th, please let the teachers know so we can give it to you early! Thanks!) If you have any 20 oz. plastic pop bottles, or water bottles (clear), please save them and bring them to preschool. We will be making something with them and need to get 125 of them!! Thanks!
