Weekday Preschool Newsletter December 2005
Kids In Color Proofs: The proofs are due
back on Tuesday, November 29th and Wednesday, November 30th. They will be
considered late beginning December 1st and a late fee will be added to
your cost. The finished photograph packages will be delivered by Friday,
December 9th. If you want to order the Christmas cards, there are order
forms by the sign in/out book.
Parent Advisory Board: A HUGE thank you to the Parent
Advisory Board for providing such delicious food for the teachers during
the Parent/Teacher Conference evenings. It really helps with those long
days to have something "yummy" to eat during breaks. There will be
NO
Parent Advisory Board meeting in December, but we will meet again on the
second Monday in January, the 9th from 6:15 pm until 7:30 pm. Any parent
is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Holiday Party Dates: On Sunday, January 8th all five classes
will have a Holiday Party. The MWF classes will have their party at 2:00
pm, the T-Th classes will have their party at 4:30 pm and the MTWThF class
will have their party at 6:30 pm. Please reserve this date now. The
children will sing a few songs in the sanctuary and then we will have a
fellowship time after the program. You are welcome to bring along
siblings, grandparents, or anyone else who would enjoy being part of our
holiday celebration. (We always wait until after we return from our
holiday break to have our party - so we don't add to the pre-Christmas
rush!!)
Preschool News Bulletin Board: We have changed the bulletin
board in the hallway right inside the north door (where we do drop-off) to
be a bulletin board for news and pictures of our preschoolers. The Parent
Advisory Board suggested we have that available for parents and the
preschool staff to post fun pictures of our children. So if you have a
Halloween group picture, or have taken another fun picture of the
preschool program, feel free to bring it and post it. Be sure your name
is on the back side so we can return it to you later. We will also put up
any articles or pictures from the newspapers when our preschoolers or
their families make the local news!! Take time to check it out!!
Holiday Break: Westminster Preschool AND Extended Care will
both be closed from December 23rd until January 4th. There will not be
any Adventure Camp available either, so please make alternative
arrangements if you need child care during these dates. We hope you and
your family will have a great time together during the Christmas and New
Year's holidays and we look forward to a New Year in 2006!!
Upstairs Cubbies: We are moving the cubbie at the end of
class each day to block off the access to the back half of the room. We
are concerned for the safety of younger siblings (especially toddlers) due
to paint, scissors and pencil sharpeners and the stairs of the loft. We
do not want any child to get injured and we realize how hard it is to see
when all the parents are gathered in the front of the room. If you need
to use the bathroom, feel free to walk around by the puzzle table to get
to the restroom. It is for the safety of the children. Thanks.
Art Items Needed: We need boxes for our guitars!! If you
have empty shoe, kleenex, cereal or cracker boxes, please bring them in
before December 6th!! Thanks!
