Kids In Color Photography: Kids in Color Photography will be here to
take photographs of the children in each of the classes. Parents had requested
that we do this in the early fall so they could have pictures to send out for
Christmas, or to go along with school pictures of older siblings. We will be
taking individual photos using the holiday background that is displayed on the
posters in the hallways outside the preschool classrooms. These posters also
display the prices of the Kids in Color Photography packages. Here are the dates
for each class:

You are welcome to bring in siblings and have them photographed as
well. We will begin at 8:30 am each morning or at 12:30 pm for the afternoon
classes.
YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO PURCHASE ANY PICTURES. We
simply offer this as a service for those who are interested. We will not be
doing the class pictures at this time, instead the preschool will receive a
percentage of the total sales as a fundraiser for preschool. (This will replace
selling the Village Inn Pie certificates this year!!)
Conferences: We will be offering late afternoon and/or evening
parent/teacher conferences on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (Nov. 7, 8 and 10).
These will be ten minute individual conferences with two of your child’s
teachers. There will be sign-up sheets posted in your child’s classroom for you
to pick a convenient time to attend. This is a great time to ask any questions
you may have or for the teachers to talk to you about anything they are
wondering about also!! Here are the days (by class) that conferences will be

If you do not bring your child to preschool, you can call me at 475-6702, ext
103 and I will be glad to sign you up for an available time.
Parent Advisory Board: I am still looking for parents who would like
to serve on the Preschool Parent Advisory Board. It will meet on the second
Monday of each month (except December) from 6:15 pm until 7:30 pm. Child care is
provided (by two of the preschool teachers) so you can bring your children along
if necessary. Please contact me if you would be willing to volunteer to serve on
this board. It provides needed input and suggestions to our preschool program
and we appreciate the gift of time by those who serve on it. The next
meeting will be Monday, November 14th at 6:15 pm. Childcare is in the
upstairs classroom.
Extra T-shirts and Sweatshirts: We ordered a few extra T-shirts when
we placed the group order. We still have 3 X-small and 1 small T-shirt and 2
small sweatshirts for sale. If you would like to buy one, please talk to one of
the teachers or see me in my office. We will not be ordering any more shirts so
get one now if you missed doing so the first time!!
Label Coats, etc: Please be sure to label your child’s outerwear
(jackets, coats, etc.) with their name as we often have several children with
the same item and it gets confusing or a child takes home the wrong item. Thank
you.
Thanksgiving Holiday Break: Both Preschool and Extended Care will be
closed on Thanksgiving and the Friday after the holiday. We will offer Adventure
Camp on Monday, November 28th , but there will not be any regular
preschool on that Monday after Thanksgiving. We hope you and your family have an
enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday!! A flier for Adventure Camp on the 28th
of November will be in your child’s cubbie in mid-November.
