TAILS FROM THE MANGER
A Christmas Musical for Young Voices

will be presented by the children of Westminster next Sunday, December 18, during the 10:30 worship service. Come hear the story of Jesus’ birth from the animals’ point of view. A sneak preview will be presented during WOW dinner Wednesday, December 14. A full holiday turkey dinner is being prepared by Tony Chapp and Jeremy Gegg, both Lincoln Firefighters. All are invited to join in the festivities. Dinner is 2.50/person, maximum $10/family. Dinner begins at 5:50 pm, musical preview 6:15 pm.

"Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
And it would be so delightful,
To get some new hats and go...
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"

There are many children in Lincoln who can’t fully enjoy a bright, chilly winter day, or a crisp new snowfall because they don’t have hats, carves, mittens or gloves to keep them warm. This advent season children in the Kindergarten of Eden and Faith Village are invited to share a little warmth by donating NEW items to decorate the Westminster Hat and Mitten Tree. The tree is located just inside the east door. Please bring donations to the church and attach them to the tree before 12/19/05. All the donated items will be given to Friendship Home.

There will be no Faith Village classes on December 18th so that children may participate in or enjoy the performance of the children’s musical. There will still be preschool Sunday school at 9:00 and 10:45.

There will not be any Sunday school on Sunday, December 25th and Sunday, January 1, 2006. Children are invited to join their families in worship (there is only one service at 10:30) on those days.

Faith Village is seeking a Shepherd for the Kindergarten and First Grade group every other Sunday, at 10:45. This position requires no weekly prep and has great fringe benefits: all the excitement of helping kids learn about the love of God. Please call Betsy 475-6702.
