Caring for God's Creation:
Eco-Fair Sunday

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and pronounced them "good." Then God created human beings and set them to be stewards of the earth.&amp  The Presbyterian Church recognizes our call to be stewards of God's creation and the need for continuous growth in this God given mission.

Westminster is hosting an Eco-Fair on Sunday, April 10 from 9:00 a.m. until Noon in Fellowship Hall. There will be twenty different individuals and groups ready to share the story of their efforts to care for the earth. During worship we will celebrate their work and leadership in caring for all God's creation. There will be a diversity of groups represented, including non-profit organizations, businesses, religious and individuals.

The event will be for both children and adults. Pioneer Nature Center and the Raptor Recovery Center will bring animals to help tell their story so bring your children, grandchildren and friends to learn from this hands-on experience.

God's works in creation are too wonderful, too ancient, too beautiful and too good to be neglected or destroyed. Restoring creation is God's own work in our time, to heal and give life. God our Creator and Redeemer calls faithful people to become engaged in keeping and healing the creation, whether human, animal, insect, plant or the earth itself.

Human life and well being depend on the integrity of all of creation flourishing.&amp  Come celebrate the work of ecological leaders in our community; learn how each of us can do our own part in the stewardship of God's creation. For more information, contact Parrish McDonald at 477-1808.

Following morning worship and the Eco-Fair, those wishing to participate will leave to plant 100 trees in Hallam, to care for the earth and our neighbors in this town still reeling from last year's tornado. To donate a tree or join in the great dig, contact Roger or Teri Van Cleave, 483-5211.

Sincerely,
