CHOOSING  AN  ARCHITECT

From the May 25, 1924 weekly bulletin :

The Building Committee for the new Church, after consultation with four of the leading firms of architects in Lincoln, and after very thoro consideration of the merits attaching to each of them, made a unanimous recommendation to the Board of Trustees that the firm of DAVIS AND WILSON be commissioned to draft plans and specifications for the new structure, and for the perusal of the Committee. The evident abilities and the separate proposals of the four firms were very carefully reviewed by the Board of Trustees, and unanimous action was taken selecting the firm of Davis and Wilson and commissioning them to proceed with the drawings. The first important definite step has therefore been taken, and we may now look to these gentlemen to produce for us a Church edifice that will be a pride to us all and adequate to the service, the Church desires to render our community.
