This week's film: "Amazing Grace" has been looked upon favorably by national reviewers. Some Westminsterites have given the film an enthusiastic thumbs up!

          Dr. Gene Armstrong is leading the class in a discussion
          on two of Lee Strobel's thought provoking books, A Case
          for Christ and A Case for Faith.

The featured speaker will be Bruce J. Malina, Professor of Biblical Studies at Creighton University in Omaha. He has studied in the U.S. and abroad (Rome, Jerusalem) and has degrees in philosophy, theology and biblical studies. He is associate editor of Biblical Theology Bulletin, Verum et Ecclesia, Catholic Biblical Quarterly Monograph Series, and Semeia. His articles have appeared in numerous scholarly journals of biblical study.

Spirituality - the care and feeding of the soul, -
          Dr. Lowell Knauss, Homestead Presbytery Executive:
          This summary of the soul and spirituality will look at what
          spirituality is and is not, who uses it, and what kind is best
          for you.
Mission and Your Part in It, - Billie Healy, PCUSA Associate
          for Mission Education Resources: This workshop will deal
          with and discuss the church's mission and suggest some
          simple ways everyone can be involved.
Congregational Transformation: Empowering Lay Leaders,
          -Steve Boots, Synod of Lakes & Prairies Church
          Development: Researchers found that churches that
          empower lay leaders were more than twice as likely to
          grow as churches than those that did not share authority.
          Congregations can encourage lay leaders to grow in their
           faith and learn how to share their faith with others.
How Does Your Marriage Grow?,
         -Rev. Bob and Debbie Field, Hickman Presbyterian
          Church: This workshop is an introduction about how to
          strengthen and promote growth in clergy marriages.
