"I am the vine,
you are the branches..." |
| March 25, 2007 |

You are invited to join
us for brunch today following worship! This festive food event is
our way of celebrating the important mile-stone in our
congregation's life: the kick-off of our Second Century Campaign.
Worship takes us to new heights in our life together. Worshiping
God gives us enlarged room for imagination; it connects us to
transcendent values and visions; it helps us experience the presence
of God which sets us free; it brings us together to experience the
presence of the Risen Christ, which gives us new life.
"A Time to Soar" is our commitment to move to new heights in our
worship experience. This campaign has a two-fold purpose. It will
restore and renovate the sanctuary, putting more emphasis on
dramatic, visual and artistic participation. It will provide
practical sanctuary needs, such as fire sprinklers and new flooring.
And half of the funds will go to reduce the debt we have from our
campaign to renovate the rest of the building.
It is our time to soar. Come join the festivities!

As you contemplate the hangings
in the sanctuary, please consider
the story of Mary anointing Jesus: Mary took a pound of costly
perfume made of pure nard, anointed Jesus' feet, and wiped them with
her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
