Easter Morning Breakfast
The Westminster Deacons will
serve breakfast from 8:0 0
- 11:00 a.m. Easter morning in Fellowship Hall. It will consist of
frittata, sausage, fruit, cinnamon rolls, coffee and juice. A free
will offering will be collected. Additional cinnamon rolls will be
available for $5.00 per dozen. To pre-order rolls, call the
church, 475-6702 by April 5th.
Scottish Heritage Sunday
On April 29th, Westminster will
celebrate our Scottish heritage. Bagpipers will lead both the 8:00
a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Everyone is invited to march in
procession, led by the bagpipers and our traditional banners. Please
gather in the chapel at 10 a.m. We will have the Kirkin O' the
Tartans, one of Westminster's traditions. Everyone is encouraged to
bring your clan's plaids. If you don't have Scottish blood, create a
clan name, and bring your plaids. The celebration of Westminster's
heritage is for ALL!! Kilts are encouraged.
Lads and Lassies are invited to try their hand at
the Children's Highland Games following 10:30 a.m. worship. Toss a
Caber, participate in the Burlap Troosers Race, see how high you can
Toss a Sheaf!
Prime Time
Prime Time supper group will meet Friday
April 13th at**6 p.m. for their annual progressive
dinner. Each participant is asked to bring an appetizer, salad, or
dessert. The main dish will be provided. For reservations and food
assignments please call David and Linda Miller at 423-1311 or
Michael and Freda Gregg at 423-3236. Please reserve by April 9th.
Names of hosts/hostesses and addresses will be sent to participants
by e-mail after April 9th. **Note time change.
Hostamania - April 22
Gardeners and lovers of spring, Hostamania is for you!
It's a great time to share plants and baked goods. Donate and shop.
The proceeds will be used to support our international friendship
with the church in Lohmen, Germany. This fall a group of 16,
including our pastor, will travel to Germany. Unsold plant materials
will be given to beautify Camp Calvin Crest.

seminar will introduce the concept
of caregiving as a
Stephen Minister. We will investigate
psychological healing,
the struggles of adult care givers,Z
managing disease and
overcoming bias and healing
through faith.

members. Leading
the study on Revelation today is Ken
Govaerts. The class
will not meet on Easter.
"CROSSROADS"
Sundays - 9:00 a.m. - Library
This group of young 18-30's adults meets every Sunday
morning for great discussions, in-depth Bible study,
Christian fellowship, and service! Recently, "The
Gathering Place" was fortunate to have several members
of this
class serving the many needy and homeless that
come to
eat.
"Crossroads" reflects on the words of prominent
scholars as they open their Bibles and minds to
challenging issues. Dr. Gene Armstrong leads the
discussion. Join us for growth and friendship. The class
will
not meet on Easter.
Second Century Campaign Brunch
Sunday's brunch was a big success! A special thanks to my co-leaders
Jane Allman, Ginny Rohrbaugh and Lavon McBride. Also special
appreciation to Sherry Schafer, Jean Patoka, the very helpful
Hospitality Committee and others who helped. Our Westminster staff
is always there to help. May God bless and keep you in His loving
care.

L.E.A.D. 2007
A day of learning and celebration to expand knowledge, develop
practical leadership skills and focus your Christian calling. This
educational event will be Saturday, April 21st at
Westminster. A combined choir will sing during the opening worship
at 9:00 a.m., and will rehearse prior to the service. The workshops
offered are sponsored by the Presbytery, and are open to everyone.
The workshops are listed in the L.E.A.D. insert today. Information
and a brochure/registration form can be also be downloaded from the
Homestead Presbytery website,
www.homesteadpres.org.
Men's Tuesday Fellowship Breakfasts
All men are
welcome to join a group of Westminster men each Tuesday morning in
the Parlor. At 6:45 we have a Continental breakfast ($2 and FREE to
1st Timers), then enjoy a good program following at 7:00.
We dismiss by 8:00. This Tuesday Rev. Ellen Davis will present a
Bible study.
Swanson Scholarship
The Swanson Scholarship Fund is a generous expression by the
donors of their faith in Christ and the importance of continuing
education to the Christian life. The scholarship provides financial
support for undergraduate education. Applications are available in
the church office.

Offering Today
Since 1949, Presbyterians have joined with millions of
other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share God's
love with people experiencing need. Our gifts support ministries of
disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, and
community development that help people find safe refuge, start new
lives, and work together to strengthen their families and
communities.
Recognizing that the hope we have in Christ is lived out in our
hope for one another, we respond with gifts that help around the
world. One Great Hour of Sharing offering envelopes are available
today for you to share in this offering.
