Have you ever been caught off guard by the illness of a

feelings of sacrificial love and compassion can co-exist
with feelings of frustration and despair. Grace and hope

look at a variety of options and resources available for

          Darfur.

         the
Family Heals: A Workshop." Kathryn and Judy have

               The Lincoln Marathon
                    is next Sunday,
                      May 6, 2007

Please consider using alternative routes to church or plan to leave home early to allow extra travel time.

The race begins at the University of Nebraska main campus at 7:00 a.m., follows a two loop course within the city, and ends approximately five hours later back at the campus. Over 5,000 race participants are expected. About 4,000 of these will be from out of town, and are guests of our community.

On the reverse side of this page, you will find a map showing the Lincoln Marathon course with indications of approximate times when the first and last runners will be approaching various locations. It is requested that you plan alternate routes when traveling to and from worship services.

The Lincoln Track Club acknowledges that vehicle drivers will experience delays at certain key roadway intersections at various times that morning. With the help of the Lincoln Police Department, the Lincoln Transportation Department and the mayor's Office, advance planning has been carried out to minimize driver travel delays while also insuring the safety of the Marathon participants.
