Camp Scholarships
Available
Calvin Crest is receiving camp registrations from
many children and youth. Camp is designed to provide benefits
including spiritual growth, opportunity to experience new activities
and challenges, improved self-esteem through accomplishing unique
tasks, developing friendships with counselors and other campers and
more.
Presbyterian Outreach in Omaha has funds available to support
Christian Camping at Calvin Crest. Application forms are now
available at the receptionist desk. Completed applications should be
mailed to: Presbyterian Outreach, Inc., Attn: Camp Scholarships,

has been on-site in Greensburg,
KS since last
Saturday and has video footage, digital
photographs and
recorded interviews of Greensburg
residents.
Westminster hopes to mobilize a disaster response team
as soon as PDA can
facilitate volunteers. Financial and in-
kind donations will be
welcomed. According to Kevin the
people have an immediate
need for summer clothing, since
most adults and children
lost everything. As we assess the
needs of the Greensburg
residents, we will communicate
them with the Presbytery.
Donations may be brought to the
church. Our goal is to
hand-deliver them.

Blake Waggoner
offers a look at how we, as a Christian
community, can provide a
healing to victims of AIDS and
warfare in Africa. This
presentation is based on his junior
thesis that deals with
the HIV crisis and the conflict in
Darfur.
May 27: "How the Family Heals:
A Workshop."
Dr. Kathryn Govaerts and Judy
McAllister have both
spent years in private
practice assisting families in the
healing process. They will
offer their expertise in a
workshop where participants can
look broadly at how they
can approach healing in their
own families.

"CROSSROADS"
Sundays - 9:00 a.m. - Library
These young adults (18-30's) get together every Sunday morning with
Dr. Gene Armstrong for in-depth biblical discussions reflecting on
the words of prominent theologians and scholars as they open their
minds to challenging issues. You are invited to join this time for
fellowship and to study God's word!
Nomination Forms Available
Tell the Nominating Committee how God is activating the
congregation. Give prayerful consideration to nominating yourself or
another congregation member for church office. If your gifts make
you a good candidate for church office, please nominate yourself. If
you know of another congregation member well suited to serving God
and Westminster by serving as a church officer, please nominate that
person.
The congregation's nominating committee is
meeting now, to choose the slate of officers to be voted upon in
November, 2007. Nomination forms are available in the Nominating
Committee mailbox located behind the reception desk.

Swanson Scholarship
The Swanson Scholarship Fund is a generous expression by the donors
of their faith in Christ and the importance of continuing education
to the Christian life. The scholarship provides financial support
for undergraduate education. Applications are available in the
church office.

Men's
Tuesday Fellowship Breakfasts
All men are welcome to join some Westminster men each
Tuesday morning in the Parlor. At 6:45 we have a Continental
breakfast ($2 & FREE to 1st Timers), then enjoy a program
at 7:00. We dismiss by 8:00. This Tuesday, Rev. Dr. Andrew McDonald will
lead a Bible study.
Westminster Club - May 29
On May 29th, Dave Tittarington, owner of Wild Bird
Habitat, will present the final program of the year on bird
watching. Here's a chance to learn how to increase you Life List of
bird sightings!
Bring your own table service and $6.00 for the catered dinner
which begins at 5:45 p.m. in Cole Hall. If you have not been called,
because of Memorial Day, reservations must be called to the
Church Office by FRIDAY, MAY 25.
3rd Annual Classic Car Event
Do you have a
classic car or truck from 1900 to 2007? If so, bring it to
Westminster June 17th for our Classic Car Event. Don't
miss this. It's a wonderful time of fellowship and fun.

Presbyterians in the Park
Join us for 10:30 a.m. worship Sunday June 24th
in Antelope Park at the band shell. Following worship we will have a
potluck lunch at the Auld Recreation Center. It is a wonderful
opportunity to invite a friend to worship in a relaxed setting and

have volunteer jobs for people with all levels of experience.
