SUMMER CHOIR
Please join and sing in the Summer Choir, Sundays in June and August. The choir will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the choir loft. If you've thought of singing in the choir but can't commit to Wednesday rehearsals, then here is your chance. You will enjoy getting to know new faces and having wonderful experiences in praising God together. Make a joyful noise!

Westminster Bible Class follows the weekly Bible Study
          series, THE PRESENT WORD. We welcome visitors and
          new members. Leading the study today is Judge Arlen Beam.

"CROSSROADS"
Sundays - 9:00 a.m. - Library

         
These young adults (18-30's) get together every Sunday
          morning with Dr. Gene Armstrong for indepth Biblical discussions
          reflecting on the words of prominent theologians and scholars as they
          open their minds to challenging issues. You are invited to join this
          time for fellowship and to study God's word!

The congregation's nominating committee is meeting now, to choose the slate of officers to be voted upon in November, 2007. Nomination forms are available in the Nominating Committee mailbox located behind the reception desk.

Give prayerful consideration to nominating yourself or another congregation member for church office. If your gifts make you a good candidate for church office, please nominate yourself. If you know of another congregation member well suited to serving God and Westminster by serving as a church officer, please nominate that person.

Swanson Scholarship
The Swanson Scholarship Fund is a generous expression by the donors of their faith in Christ and the importance of continuing education to the Christian life. The scholarship provides financial support for undergraduate education. Applications are available in the church office.

          Men's Tuesday Fellowship Breakfasts

All men are invited for Continental breakfast each Tuesday morning at 6:45 in the Parlor. A program follows at 7:00. We dismiss by 8:00. This Tuesday the program, "Cedars - A Life Line for Children and Youth" will be given by Katie McLeese Stephenson, Cedars Chief Operating Officer.

Westminster Club - May 29
On May 29th, Dave Tittarington, owner of Wild Bird Habitat, will present the final program of the year on bird watching. Those with reservations, bring your own table service and $6.00 for the catered dinner which begins at 5:45 p.m. in Cole Hall.

Jazz in June with Small Groups
Come celebrate the beginning of Summer and the end of our Small Group Spring study, "Listening for God" with an evening of fun, fellowship and Jazz, Tuesday, June 5th, 7 p.m. (Meet at 6:30 p.m.-Look for the huge bunch of yellow balloons!) , Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery West Plaza, 12th& R Streets

Kendra Shank, a distinctive New York-based vocalist will be the featured musician for the evening. Bring a blanket, dinner or just dessert to relax and enjoy an evening with new and old friends.

Summer Knit Together

Financial Peace University Class ends May 30
Westminster's 1st Financial Peace University(FPU) class ends May 30th. Watch the Vine for hi-lights from this life-changing course.

Leading the class is a great way to achieve your own Financial Peace! If you would be interested in leading an FPU class this summer (time/dates to be determined), please contact Jeff or Angela Pearson @ 325-0154 or angelapearson@hotmail.com. Class meetings are 2 hours, once a week, for 13 weeks. Teaching material is provided. You just need to know how to read and run a DVD player.
