We welcome guest organist/director Dr. Gerald Holbrook, a recent graduate of UNL with a DMA in Organ Performance.

A heartfelt thank you to all who have so lovingly given of their time and talents to lead others on their faith journey during the year. When children are baptized, we pledge to support and nurture them as they grow in Christ. Through their time spent in the Kindergarten of Eden, Faith Village, the Confirmation class, and youth classes, many dedicated Westminster adults having faithfully upheld the baptismal promise. Inspired by Christ, many more have joyfully led adult education opportunities to keep the congregation of Westminster spiritually alive. We are truly blessed to have such a loving, giving, nurturing, inspiring and learned congregation. May God continue to bless your ministry among us.

Nomination Forms Available
The congregation's nominating committee is meeting now, to choose the slate of officers to be voted upon in November, 2007. Nomination forms are available in the Nominating Committee mailbox located behind the reception desk.

Give prayerful consideration to nominating yourself or another congregation member for church office. If your gifts make you a good candidate for church office, please nominate yourself. If you know of another congregation member well suited to serving God and Westminster by serving as a church officer, please nominate that person.

Any questions? Talk to a nominating committee member: Cori Amend, Jody Batten, Joe Binge, Barbara McCall, Faye Moulton, Harry Seward, Dan Wherry, Judy White (Moderator), Harry Wimer or Barbara Wright-Chollet.

Coming in September...
Westminster will begin a new churchwide small group experience based on Rabbi Harold Kushner's bestseller "Living a Life That Matters." For eight weeks small groups will draw on Kushner's stories, on current events, and above all on the biblical story of Jacob -- the worldy trickster who evolves into a man of God -- and address some of the most persistent dilemmas of the human condition.

Registration will begin Sunday, August 26. Small groups will start meeting the week of Sunday, September 9. At this time Small Group Ministry is recruiting small group leaders. Could God be calling you to shepherd a small group? We will offer special training sessions for small group leaders on Sunday mornings in July. Please see Kathy Collins or Pastor Sara if you would like to get involved early!

Now is the BEST time to begin
         your gift toward Westminster's
         Second Century Campaign.
