Thank

Many thanks to all the Small Groups who contributed
food for the "Backpack Program" at Elliott Elementary!
Together, we helped provide meals for 2 families over 20 weekends
from November to June! This was a wonderful mission effort in our
community that I know enriched our lives as much as theirs!

Coming in September
- Westminster will begin a new churchwide small group experience
based on Rabbi Harold Kushner's bestseller "Living a Life That
Matters." For eight weeks small groups will draw on Kushner's
stories, on current events, and above all on the biblical story of
Jacob -- the worldy trickster who evolves into a man of God -- and
address some of the most persistent dilemmas of the human condition.
Registration will begin Sunday, August 26. Small groups will
start meeting the week of Sunday, September 9. At this time Small
Group Ministry is recruiting small group leaders. Could God be
calling you to shepherd a small group? We will offer special
training sessions for small group leaders on Sunday mornings in
July. Please see Kathy Collins or Pastor Sara if you would like to
get involved early.
Swanson Scholarship
The Swanson Scholarship Fund is a generous expression
by the donors of their faith in Christ and the importance of
continuing education to the Christian life. The scholarship provides
financial support for undergraduate education. Applications are
available in the church office. Applications and renewal requests
should be returned to Westminster by July 15.
