challenging issues. You are invited to join this fellowship
and
time to study God's word!

Assistant Wedding Coordinator Needed
Westminster's wedding coordinator, Linda Burchard, needs
an assistant who will be available to coordinate weddings when she
is unavailable. Please contact the church office 475-6702, if
interested. The coordinator meets with the bride before the wedding
(approximately 6 weeks) to discuss the plans for the wedding day. A
list of duties for rehearsal and wedding day is available in the
church office.
Mission for the Whole Family
Westminster has a wonderful opportunity to share
with you! On Friday evenings, we serve dinner to Lincoln's homeless
and working poor at The Gathering Place (1448 E Street). All of the
food and drinks are provided - we simply help serve dinner and clean
up. Dinner is 5:00-6:00, and the total time commitment is
approximately 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Would you and your family, or your group of
friends, your PW Circle, Small Group or Men's Fellowship Group (or
any other group!) like to volunteer one Friday afternoon? It works
best to have a group of 5-6 people serving, but there have also been
small groups of 4 and large groups of 8.
Openings begin Friday July 6 and go throughout
all the Fridays in autumn. You can sign up to volunteer either
individually or as a group. A team leader is helpful. Children who
can do something simple like handing out plates or bread are very
welcome to help serve, as long as a parent supervises.
It is so rewarding to help our "neighbors in need." So take a
risk and sign up today! Do see Pastor Sara with any questions.
Don't forget to be faithful
to Westminster's Second
Century Campaign. |
