Invite a Friend to Church!
"Whom shall I send, and who will go
for us?" "Here I am, Lord, Is it I, Lord?" are the words we sing in
unison in the popular song "Here I Am, Lord." It is a
favorite song of mine and is usually accompanied with a lump in my
throat. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to sing this
song with us and feel the power of those words. Invite a friend to
Westminster Church on Genesis Sunday, August 26th as we
celebrate a new year at Westminster.
New
Member Class Begins August 12
Journeying Together, a three week new member class
will begin Sunday, August 12th at 9:00 a.m. If you would
like to join the class and/or are interested in becoming a member of
Westminster please call Marge at 475-6702, mark the ritual of
friendship pad, or speak to Rev. Dingman, Rev. Davis or Dr.
McDonald following
worship.
Help us with a housewarming shower
for the new residents in the
Cedars Boys Group Home in our neighborhood. Eleven youth - middle
and high school ages - will move in around August 19th and we want
to shower them with school supplies, new towels and bed linens. You
can participate by bringing school supplies and make a small
donation toward the towels and bed linens. We will be collecting
items on Sundays, August 12th and 19th, in the Garden Room.
Sponsored by the Outreach Ministry.

pass heading east on Interstate 80? It's even more remarkable when
you are inside, especially as the sun gets low in the sky. Give
yourself a beautiful treat--a spa for the soul--at the Lincoln-Omaha
Taizé service 8:00 tonight. For more information or car-pooling call
