Invite a Friend to Church!
"Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" "Here I am, Lord, Is it I, Lord?" are the words we sing in unison in the popular song "Here I Am, Lord."   It is a favorite song of mine and is usually accompanied with a lump in my throat.   I believe everyone should have the opportunity to sing this song with us and feel the power of those words.  Invite a friend to Westminster Church on Genesis Sunday, August 26th as we celebrate a new year at Westminster.

Westminster Bible Class is planning a special program at 9:00 a.m.   After 10:30 worship, there will be games for children including a bouncy house, duck pond, bean bag toss and more! We'll also have a pot luck lunch with a variety of good food and fellowship. Watch for more information.

The ice cream and musical festival is set for August 26th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Antelope Park. Included will be food, fun and games for children and adults, music, and an opportunity to share our faith with the Lincoln community. Hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and a drink will be offered for a small price. Free homemade ice cream from the UNL Dairy store will be provided. Music will be provided by No Better Cause, the String Beans and local Presbyterian musicians. Come, and invite your friends and neighbors!

Eco Tip #1: When you're at the grocery store, try to avoid single serving and multi pack food items. Their excessive packaging is extremely wasteful. Instead buy food in bulk and store it in small resealable containers. Bonus points: bring your own reusable bag to carry home your groceries.

More tips at Westminster's ECO FAIR on Sunday morning, September 9. We hope you'll join us!
