They live in all different parts of town. Starting in September, once a month or every six weeks would you be willing to help transport someone to/from 10:30 worship? Please contact Pastor Sara, Nancy Stuckey or Brian Lammers if you'd like to learn more.

FUNERAL RECEPTION HELPERS NEEDED: Our deacons serve food and refreshments after morning and afternoon funerals at Westminster as a way of caring for our members. We are looking for more hands! Are you willing to be added to a list of potential helpers? If so, please contact Pastor Sara, Ted Maude or Carol Walbrecht.

Share in a Housewarming Shower
You are invited to share in the housewarming shower for our new neighbors - the boys moving into the Cedars Boys Group Home at 1911 So. 20th. These youth, middle school and high school ages, will be moving in on August 22nd. We want to provide school supplies, new towels and bed-in-a-bag for each of the eleven residents. Please visit us at the table in the Garden Room with the big CEDARS sign if you have questions. Suggested school supplies are backpacks, calculators, pens, pencils, loose leaf paper, 3 ring binders, spiral notebooks and folders. Consider a small cash donation so we can purchase the bedding. We have the new towels! These items will make a great welcome gift! We will be collecting on two Sundays: August 12th and August 19th.

Eco Tip #2:
Refrigerators have a huge energy appetite! They are the biggest consumer of electricity among household appliances and are responsible for 10-15 percent of the electricity you use each year. Older refrigerators, as a rule, are far less efficient than the newest ones - as much as 50 percent less efficient. Buying a brand-new, energy-efficient refrigerator may not be in the cards. Fortunately, other things will help: cleaning the condenser coil can reduce your annual energy costs by $20. Lowering the temperature will make a big difference. And opening it fewer times a day will help your bill and your waistline! Find out more at Westminster's ECO-FAIR
, Sunday Sep 9!

Please come celebrate on Sunday, August 26, the beginning of the new program year.

Education Support

"When you help a child today, you write the history of tomorrow." -Father Flanagan

Here at Westminster we have a great tradition of excellence in education. Our foundation began with a Sunday school and we have continued to nurture and challenge children and adults throughout our history. Faith Village has become an exciting and dynamic place for children to explore their faith, learn more about the love of God and stretch their spiritual wings, in a place of safety and love.

Adults are needed to continue to fulfill this ideal. Please prayerfully consider if you can spend a few hours a month helping to write the history of tomorrow.

Please indicate interest: Respond to the church reception desk or call Betsy Guyer, 475-6702, ext. 104.
