Taizé Service Tonight
This evening's Taizé service will have an ecology
flavor to recognize Westminster's creation care emphasis this month.
Please feel welcome to visit the chapel at 7:30 for a 45 minute
contemplative service with scripture, prayer, music and silence.
Tonight's music will be provided by Darin Anderson-cantor, Preston
Bradley-violin, David Anderson-French horn, Jon Jackson-bass guitar,
Meera Bhardwaj-oboe, and Boyd Bacon-keyboard. The readers are Linda
Burchard and Dal Ronnau.
With September having 5 Sundays, a special Taizé
service will be held on the 30th at Holy Family Shrine
near Gretna. Plan to attend at 7:00 p.m. for an extraordinary
experience in a beautiful space.
Westminster has gone green!
We are now using real cups and glasses
(instead of paper or styrofoam) during fellowship hour and at
special events. This is one of our efforts to lighten our ecological
footsteps. In addition to this, all of our bulletins, newsletters
and mailings are being printed on recycled paper and any bulletins
left each week are taken for recycling.
If you would like to be part of our "green
team,"and would consider helping wash the dishes following
fellowship hour and/or special events, please write your name, phone
number and email address on a sheet of paper and drop it in the
offering plate or leave it at the reception desk. This is one other
thing you could include on your Eco-Covenant list.

expenses. We plan to email as many meeting reminders as possible. If

Westminster staff, please email it to

Note of Thanks!Just wanted to send a note to say thanks again for the
generous support of the Westminster community. We are settling into
our new home and just loving everything about it. The boys are
really enjoying their supplies, towels, and bedding. The
coordinating colors of the linens have added so much to the
home-like environment and we continue to appreciate the time you put
into the gifts! Thanks again!
