The Westminster Men's
Fellowship group is taking New Years Day off. They will meet again
January 8th at 6:45 a.m. for a Continental breakfast. ($2
and free for first timers.) At 7:00 the
program, "Sharing the Samaritan Story" will be presented by

Center. Come join us. All men are welcome.
End of Year Giving Request
The church committees have stayed well within their budgets, but
some income sources have been less than
anticipated. At this point it looks as if our expenditures will
exceed our income by about $5,000 to $7,000. How can we meet this
need? Along with the grace of God, we rely on two things in particular:
• First, we need those who have pledged to
complete
their pledge.
• Secondly, we need the whole congregation to
consider
giving a financial gift to Westminster by the end
of this
year.
With this extra giving, we believe we will be able to end the
year with a balanced budget. Every gift makes a difference. If you
would like your gift to be credited to 2007,
the church office
will be open Monday, December 31 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
We
will be closed Tuesday, January 1.

Today: The Ecological
Footprint -
Accounting for a Small Planet - Fellowship Hall A
This film paints
a picture of our current global situation: the annual demand on
resources is exceeding what the Earth can regenerate each year.
Ecological Footprint suggests that an essential step in avoiding
depletion is to track ecological assets, allowing us to make more
informed choices.

Join us for WOW
We are making some changes to the WOW
(Westminster on Wednesdays) schedule to make the evening even
more welcoming to people of all different ages, family
situations, levels of biblical knowledge, and spiritual needs.
On Wednesday nights in January (starting Jan. 9)
Pastor Sara will lead a Beginners' Bible Study. All
are invited to crack open the Bible and take a new look at some of
the biblical stories many of us read as children. Class starts at
6:30 p.m., lasts just under an hour, and is open to everyone. No
registration is necessary.
Starting in February, WOW will offer a special
mid-week Lenten service in the Chapel. The service will last
under 20 minutes and include simple music, prayers written by church
members, a scripture passage and a brief meditation. Come early for
dinner if you can, stay afterward for a follow-up Bible study if you
wish, or just join us in the Chapel. We hope this evening worship
experience will help make Lent a holy time for you.
Knit Together
invites
you to join us in the library on Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. It is a
great time of fellowship and a chance for spiritual growth. We are
renewing our commitment to mission knitting. Patterns are available
for all skill levels. Join us or you can pick up yarn and
instructions for a baby blanket, prayer shawl, or cape to knit at
home. Questions? Call Francy Scheele, 477-1102.
